Are you looking for some extra activities to help improve your English? Here are a few ideas - have fun!
You can do all of these activities without a computer or iPad.

Here are some fun lessons to practice and improve your English. Please email me with any questions or if you just want to share your thoughts! I always love to hear from you!

Interview family members-
-Write 5 questions to ask.
-Write their answers.
-Make sure to say thank you and save the paper.
Write down 10 or more adjectives you hear your family members say in one full day.
-Adjectives could be colors, sizes, numbers, textures, emotions--anything that describes a noun.
-Save your paper 😊
Call an older relative and ask him or her to tell you anything about his/her childhood.
-Write it down and share it in ESOL class when you come back to school.
-If you have time, draw a picture that goes with the story!
Write a real letter to your teacher. It would be a gift from you!
-Draw a picture that goes with your letter.
-Send it now or save it until we return to school-

Ask a parent if you can put all the kitchen spices in A-B-C order.
-Fun and helpful!
Ask how you can help you mom or dad and write down what you did.
-Play with a younger sibling?
-Pick up ten things and put them away?
-Set the table?
-Write how you felt when you were finished helping.
**Use adjectives in your writing (happy, proud, annoyed, important, helpful, smart, etc.).
-Draw a picture to show what you did.
-Save your paper!
Sit silently for 15 minutes. (You CAN do it!)
-Write down every sound you hear.
-This can serve as a mini diary entry of your day. You could be recording history!
-Draw and label a picture that goes with it.
-Save your paper. 😉

-Please include doors, windows, rugs, or furniture.
Compare and contrast any two items or people in your home.
-Create a Venn Diagram. Label each circle.
-Examples-any two of the following:
-toys
-kitchen items
-furniture
-food
-people

Home Scavenger Hunt
Look around your house. Find each item. Write it down and draw a quick picture of the item.
Did you find everything? Write a silly story using as many of these objects as you can.
Finally, save your story until we go back to school OR read it on SeeSaw. I can't wait to hear it!

-Rhymes with the word "sat"

-Is something you can eat
-Has a letter M in the middle of the word
